1. Definitions
- "Hairspring", "we", "us", "our" — the workshop operating at 47 Nimmanhaemin Road, Suthep, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
- "Service" — any watch repair, assessment, or related work performed by Hairspring.
- "Customer", "you" — any individual who leaves a watch with us or uses our website.
- "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions, as accepted when you engage our services or use this website.
- "Website" — the pages and content at https://hairspringk.pro.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By leaving a watch with us for service or by submitting an enquiry through this website, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter into this agreement.
If you are leaving a watch on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the owner is aware of and agrees to these Terms.
3. Services Provided
Hairspring offers three primary services for watches:
- Battery & Quartz Service
- Water-Resistance Review
- Chronograph Calibre Service
Services are carried out at our workshop in Chiang Mai. We reserve the right to decline a service request if the work is outside our capability or requires specialist manufacturer tooling that we do not hold.
4. Service Scope and Pricing
Prices listed on our website cover the standard scope of each service. Before any work beyond the standard scope is carried out — including replacement of additional parts — we will contact you for approval.
You are not obligated to approve additional work. If you decline, we will reassemble the watch to the extent possible and return it in the condition it was received, minus any non-reversible steps already taken in the standard scope.
All prices are in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is made at the workshop on collection.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- You must be the rightful owner of any watch left with us, or have the owner's permission to leave it for service.
- You are responsible for providing accurate contact details so we can reach you during the service period.
- Watches not collected within 60 days of notification of completion may be subject to a storage fee. Watches uncollected after 180 days may be disposed of or sold to recover outstanding costs, after reasonable attempts at contact.
- If sending a watch by courier, you are responsible for adequate packaging and obtaining appropriate insurance. We are not liable for damage occurring during transit to or from us.
6. Website Use and Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, and design — is owned by or licensed to Hairspring. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish any part of it without written permission.
You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not attempt to interfere with the operation of the website or access it through automated means.
7. Disclaimers
We carry out each service to a professional standard, but we cannot predict how a watch movement that has not been serviced for many years will respond to cleaning or reassembly. In rare cases, components that appeared functional during initial assessment may fail during the service process. Where this occurs, we will inform you and provide options.
The website is provided "as is". We do not represent that it will be available without interruption or that its content will always be current.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the cost of the service itself. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses including the sentimental or collector value of a watch.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for damage caused by our negligence where such exclusion is not permitted under applicable Thai law.
9. Cancellation and Termination
You may cancel a service at any time before work has begun at no charge. If work has commenced, you will be charged for the portion completed.
We may decline or cease a service at any point if we determine that it cannot be completed to the required standard, and will notify you promptly.
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us directly in the first instance. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to resolve issues informally where possible.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Chiang Mai.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the date of last update. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
